PRN /Part Time IV NURSE
Location: BioHAKD Longevity Lounge
Employment Type: Part-time
($30-$35/hour)
As an IV Nurse with BioHAKD, you will be a part of the Clinical Care Team engaging with our patients to develop lifelong well-being and health. Your role makes a difference in the patient care we offer. IV and Ozone Nurse are multitasked health professionals responsible for performing administrative and clinical tasks in our facility while delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining positive patient engagement. They must be capable of maintaining confidentiality with respect to personal and sensitive information and must possess an ability to function independently.
IV OZONE & NUTRIENTS NURSE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
- Verifies patient information in chart
- Mix IV bags in accordance with proper sterile technique
- Records age, gender and ozone treatment dosage according to providers recommendation in chart; confirms purpose of visit
- Updates charts with results and treatments for patients
- Helps patients by providing information, services, and assistance
- Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records, and keeping patient information confidential
- Assist during IV treatments
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations
- Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock
- Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventative maintenance and calling for repairs
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications
- Serves and protects the practice by adhering to professional standards; facility policies and procedures; and federal, state and local requirements
- Enhances practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
SPECIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to perform routine invasive procedures, such as venipuncture and catheterization in accordance with established clinical protocol
- Firm grasp on medical practices, administrative processes, and organizational policies
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties in a courteous and friendly manner at all times
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Superior customer service skills
- A high level of professionalism
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Help with checking in members at the front desk

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Required to sit, walk, bend, climb stairs, reach with hands and arms throughout the workday.
- Depth perception, finger dexterity, and steady hand coordination required for fine tasks such as administering intramuscular injections, drawing blood, and insertions of IV''s
- Occasionally required to lift moderate weight (20-40 pounds).
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust or focus.
- Must be able to clearly speak English to communicate, assess, and educate patients
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:
- Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing
- Registered Nurse certification
- A minimum of 2 to 3 years' experience in the nursing field, preferably starting IV's, blood draws and injections
